New York is known for being a hectic, no-nonsense kind of town, where everything is constantly on the go. It was in this concrete jungle that Rosemary and Juanlu met.

Their first date was at Hi-Collar, a Japanese cocktail bar, and they hit it off immediately. Constantly firing questions back and forth, 4 hours had gone by and they didn’t even notice! It was the beginning of a beautiful relationship.

A couple months after Juanlu asked Rosemary to be his girlfriend, the global pandemic had hit NYC in full force. While their love was relatively new, they hunkered down together during those tough times and made the best of the situation playing board games, making furniture forts, and having movie marathon nights.

Coming out of the pandemic, their love was stronger and they yearned for exploring the city and beyond. Making up for the lost time, they visited all kinds of restaurants, museums, and parks and eventually traveled all around the world to places like Hawaii, Japan, Paraguay, Chile, and Antigua & Barbuda.

On July 22nd, 2023, with the help of their good friend Brooke, Rosemary and Juanlu went uptown to Central Park to attend a dog’s birthday party. Unbeknownst to Rosemary, it was all a ruse and once they reached Belvedere Castle, Juanlu got down on one knee and asked Rosemary to marry him! Without hesitation she said yes and suddenly friends popped out of the bushes to take pictures and celebrate their love with a picnic in the park.

In the time since the engagement, Rosemary and Juanlu have moved to Chicago to be closer to friends and family, traveled to Africa, and of course tried many more restaurants!
